Welcome to the Ignition Design Challenge
What is the Ignition Design Challenge?
The Ignition Design Challenge was developed by the Inductive Automation training staff for users learning how to design in Ignition. It is a free project that can be developed and evaluated independently.
How does the challenge work?
The challenge is divided into multiple sections - Gateway and Project, Perspective, Vision, and Reports. In each section there are a series of tasks that must be completed. Use the navigation on the left side of the screen to move from section to section and task to task. You must start with the Gateway section, then you can choose to complete the Perspective or Vision sections, or both. The Reports section is also recommended.
How can I get help?
Each task in the sections contains multiple layers of help built into the window. The first layer of help provides reminders about where to go within the Ignition Designer or Gateway to complete the task. If additional help is needed, the second layer of help includes links to pages in the manual. As this project is designed to be an independent tool for learning, Inductive Automation does not provide any direct user support. People interested in learning how to use at Ignition at a beginning level should start with Inductive University.
How do I check my work?
After completing all components of the challenge, you can use the Self-Evaluation checklist to verify your work and get help if needed. The help portion of the pages are nested so users can only get the help needed to complete the steps.

Review the checklist for each section and identify items that were not completed. A nested help section is included within each checklist item, in case additional support is needed.
