Core Test FAQ and Troubleshooting
These questions pertain to the Core test interface, which is hosted by Testinvite.
General Questions
How is the test graded and how do I see the results?

What information is covered on the test?
Ignition knowledge outlined in the nine sections listed under Topics Covered.
How long does the test take?
The Core test can take up to 25 hours if the maximum amount of time for each section is used. It is possible to complete the test in a shorter amount of time. Each of the 9 sections on the test has a time limit that varies between 2 and 4 hours. A section must be completed once started, but different sections can be completed at different times. You are given 30 days to complete all 9 sections.
How can I start the test?

What Edition/Version/Modules of Ignition can be used for the test?
The test instructions specify to use the Standard Edition of Ignition on the latest version and to use the default (typical) modules. The test instructions will include restoring an Ignition Gateway Backup. The free and unlimited Trial Period can be used while completing the test.
Can I take the test with multiple monitors? What monitor should be shared during the test?
Yes, you can use multiple monitors. During the test certain security measures are in place including a webcam check and a requirement to share your screen. When working with multiple monitors, the screen that the test wants you to share is the screen with the testinvite web page.
Troubleshooting
I am not receiving emails after purchasing or after completing the test.
All emails will come from training@inductiveautomation.com. If you are not receiving emails related to the test please email training@inductiveautomation.com directly. The test results email typically sends within a few minutes of completing the final section of the test.
The test does not load/I am unable to access the test.
