Test Grading and Results

Your test will be reviewed and graded by an Inductive Automation employee. The employee will confirm that your test completes the requirements set out in the prompts. The best way to ensure success is to verify all of your answers before submitting your test.

What grade is required to pass the test?​

The test is made up of multiple prompts, each with multiple parts. You must pass each prompt, and an overall score of 75% is required in order to pass the test.

What results will I receive?​

Upon completion of your test, you will receive an email showing your results. Each prompt has multiple parts, and each part will be given one of the following results:

  • Full Credit - Met all of the requirements
  • Partial Credit - Was close to meeting the requirements
  • No Credit - Did not meet the requirements

This will give you guidance on which topics you need to study before your next attempt at taking the test. It is highly recommended to use the Study Guide to review any parts of your test that did not fully meet the requirements.

If I fail, do I have to take the entire test again, or can I just retake those sections I missed?​

You will need to retake the entire test on each attempt. Retaking individual prompts is not possible. Your test will consist of a variation of each prompt. You may see a prompt that seems similar to a prompt on a previous test. Please be sure to read it carefully, as there may be slight differences. You may also get a prompt that is the same as a prompt you have received before.
