What are fun things to do in Folsom?

Night life is fairly limited in Folsom, it’s more focused on outdoor activities like hiking, bicycling, etc.

  • CSUS Aquatic Center to play on the water in the evening. They rent things like stand up paddleboards and kayaks.

  • Bike/Walking trail - 10 mile loop around the river (Lake Natomas) behind the office. Start in Old Folsom for the best views.

  • Folsom Outlet stores

  • A movie at the Luxe theater in the Palladio. There is also a Cinemark theater off Iron Point Road.

  • Shows at the Harris Center

  • Red Hawk Casino is about 20 miles east on Highway 50

  • Go to Sacramento (~25 mins drive)

    • There is an area called Old Sacramento (or Old Sac) on the river that is fun to walk around and visit the shops

    • Coin-Op Game Room is a bar with classic stand-up arcade games on K Street

    • Depending on the season, the Sacramento Kings (NBA), Sacramento River Cats (minor league baseball) and Sacramento Republic (minor league soccer) might be playing in the evening. And soon: the Sacramento A’s (MLB)

  • Sorry, Lake Tahoe is ~2 hour drive from here (each way), and the San Francisco Bay Area is roughly the same distance in the other direction, so they not really options for an evening visit
